SkyPort Wins Co-location and Network Services Contract

  • May 22, 2009 – HOUSTON, TEXAS – SkyPort Global Communications announced today that it has been awarded a three year co-location and network service contract from one of North America’s prominent oil and gas drilling organizations.

The contract includes multi-year co-location services of head-end and terrestrial backhaul equipment hosting, along with providing a managed services package tailored to meet the client’s needs.  Oil and Gas operators today are finding it more important than ever to rationalize their expenses and find more efficient ways to deliver services.  By using SkyPort’s co-location and management services, companies can find savings in the robust infrastructure and 24/7/365 managed service offering of SkyPort, reduce costs and improve services at the same time.

Robert Kubbernus, President and CEO of SkyPort Global Communications, Inc. stated, “SkyPort has proven again that its superior technical capabilities and infrastructure lends itself perfectly to those organizations seeking satellite co-location solution capabilities.  This also allows our customers to focus on their core competencies versus managing satellite solutions when what they do best is develop oil and gas assets.”
