SkyPort Global Adds Two Key Sales Executives

  • Sept 20, 2007 – HOUSTON, TEXAS –SkyPort Global Communications has named two veteran satellite industry executives to key positions on its business development team.

    Michael Polmar has been named Vice President of Sales, with overall responsibility for the business development efforts of the systems integration and satellite communications company. Peter P. Semenach has been hired as Director of Product Management of the company.

    Polmar joined SkyPort after establishing a proven track record of sales leadership and business development for a number of satellite communications and related companies. Most recently, Polmar was Vice President for Business Development and Marketing Director for the Intelligence and Information Solutions Business Unit of SAIC, a Columbia, MD-based provider of scientific, engineering and systems integration services to military and government clients worldwide.

    Prior to joining SAIC, Polmar held key sales positions for several companies, including Sales Center Vice President of Government Solutions for AT&T Corp. and Sales Director for North America of New Skies Satellites.

    Semenach came to SkyPort from a position as Director of Product Management for Spacenet Inc., a McLean-based leader in managed wireless VSAT and hybrid terrestrial networks for business and government users worldwide. Prior to joining Spacenet, Semenach was Global Product Manager for Loral Skynet Inc. of Rockville, MD.
